Caldwell, New Jersey is considered a suburb of both Newark and New York City.  It is in the county of Essex and the neighboring towns are West Caldwell, North Caldwell, Roseland, Essex Fells, Fairfield and Verona.  Routes 10 23, 46, 80, 280, Garden State Parkway, NJ Turnpike and other major highways are all less than 5-1o minutes away, making it a very accessible town for commuting to any part of the state.  It is considered one of the finest of New Jersey’s 21 counties.
