An
old postcard of the Presbyterian Church in Caldwell, the reverse side has
some interesting content. It was interesting to note in those days
that little more was needed for an address than a name and the town in which
they lived. It is addressed to Montville, NJ, but postmarked
in Caldwell, indicating that Caldwell processed their mail too. This
lady writes in August how the "air this this morning is fine, so crisp and
nice" -- in August? My the weather has changed too hasn't it?
This is just one of a collection of several postcards courtesy of John Collins. We encourage others to contribute such fine nostalgia and artifacts. Full credit will be given to the individual(s) upon their use.
It is also interesting to note that a lot of these cards were printed in Boston and over seas in Germany.
